Massachusetts Attorney General’s Consumer Assistance Council

Cape Cod & Islands

Catherine serves as Vice President of the Consumer Assistance Council, working closely with the Massachusetts Attorney General’s office to protect consumer rights and ensure fair business practices throughout Cape Cod and the Islands.

 

Planning Board Member

Town of Bourne

Catherine contributes to the Town of Bourne’s long-term growth strategies by participating in the Planning Board, overseeing local development projects and promoting sustainable zoning regulations.

 

Building Committee Member

Integrated Solid Waste Management (ISWM) Expansion Project

Catherine is an integral part of Bourne’s efforts to modernize its waste management infrastructure, ensuring the town’s facilities meet future environmental sustainability standards.

In the realm of technology and innovation, Catherine Walton is a local name that has become synonymous with understanding, clarity, and peace of mind. As the founder of Upland Broadband, A member of the Bourne Planning Board, Roadway and Traffic Safety Committee, and a Board member of the Attorney General’s Consumer Advocacy Committee. Walton has carved a niche for herself and her company in the bustling tech landscape of Cape Cod and the surrounding islands. With a mission deeply rooted in helping businesses understand their technological and contractual infrastructure footprint, Walton is also out front in helping businesses of every size save considerable time and money. Walton began her professional career in the tech industry with roles in notable software companies, including Bob Pemberton’s Hyannis-based Software 2000 and a Charles Koch company as a software compliance auditor, resolving Fortune 500 contractual challenges. Through this foundational work, Walton developed a profound understanding of the needs and challenges faced by businesses in managing their technological infrastructure. Her transition from managing large ERP software migrations to focusing on local businesses was driven by a personal mission to make technology accessible and comprehensible to all.
